The equities market opened the week lower on Monday, as market capitalisation fell by N1.173 trillion or 1.26 per cent.
AIICO Insurance led the market, trading 236.96 million shares valued at N995.88 million across 4,691 transactions.
Market capitalisation rose by N479 billion, or 0.52 per cent, to close at N92.730 trillion, compared with N92.251 trillion on Wednesday.
The market capitalisation gained N1.82 trillion or 93 per cent to close at N48.139 trillion, as against N46.316 trillion posted on Monday.
The gain represents 1.63 per cent, closing at 41.583 trillion, compared to N40.917 trillion recorded on Friday.

Market capitalisation gained N137 billion to close at N28.1 trillion as against the N27.963 trillion posted at the last trading session on Thursday.
The market capitalisation gained N180 billion or 0.61 per cent to close at N29.768 trillion, compared to N29.588 trillion posted on Wednesday.
The market capitalisation increased by N130 billion to N27.828 trillion from N27.697 trillion the previous day.
