Ms Rimi said capital importation rose significantly during the year.
The executive secretary of the Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, A’isha Rimi, disclosed this in Katsina on Monday, shortly after the inspection.
Ms Rimi urged the media to promote Nigeria and the good things about her.
“We need to develop our local content to conserve foreign exchange.’’
The NIPC boss expressed readiness “to leverage my extensive experience in law, business and investment.”
It is unclear whether the EFCC informed Mr Tinubu of the fraud charges against Ms Rimi before her NIPC appointment and whether it concluded its investigation in 2018.
Mr Tinubu has appointed 14 new chief executive officers of several agencies and parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.
