Akin Oke, the outgoing caretaker chairman of the APC in Oyo, has described the death of Soun of Ogbomosoland, Oba Jimoh Oyewumi, as a great loss.
The All Progressives Congress in Oyo has passed a vote of confidence on its caretaker chairman, Akin Oke, describing him as a man of unquestionable integrity.
“This latter-day seeming hijack of the party by a few will not stand. The collective majority stands with the party.”
Some aggrieved members in the state are accusing “a serving senator and former governor” of falsifying the delegates’ list.
A spokesman for ZLP declined comment on whether the meeting was approved by a former governor of the state, Rashidi Ladoja.
