They accused the state government of allegedly refusing to pay several years of unpaid entitlements.
The victims were released on Sunday, August 10, after the payment of an undisclosed amount as ransom.
The road has claimed the lives of many students.
“The law enforcement agency has been informed already, and all hands are on deck to get to the root of the situation.”
In an open letter to Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, the students noted that the police patrol vans were in “rickety conditions.”
Mr Akanbi said the parents of Mr Moses had already been invited by the school authority, describing the incident as “tragic.”
