Mr Abdulhameed referenced World Bank data, highlighting that Nigeria recorded its fastest economic growth in nearly a decade in 2024.
Mr Abdulhameed said the appeal became necessary to ease the issuance and activation of the NUSUK card for the pilgrims as they arrive.
The case was subsequently fixed for November 25 for commencement of trial.
