“We have already filed a suit against the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission over the implementation of the July 2021 Minor Review of the Multi-Year Tariff Order.”
The group says there will be protests or legal action against NERC and DisCos if there is an increase in October.
The Ikeja Electric and Eko Electricity Distribution Company have been sued for failing to implement the order capping estimated billing of their customers.
The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) says over one million Nigerians have received prepaid meters.
“There is no justification for any increment in electricity at this point in time.”
