The Nigerian equities market extended its rally on Monday, lifting market capitalisation above N160 trillion as investors recorded a combined gain of N3.162 trillion.
Market breadth measured by market sentiment was negative as 19 stocks declined, while 12 appreciated.
The market capitalisation lost N545 billion or 2.16 per cent to close at N24.709 trillion.
Market capitalisation increased by N3 billion or 0.01 per cent to close at N26.670 trillion.
The Year-to-Date gain increased to 16.34 per cent, but the market breadth was negative as 10 stocks advanced and 16 declined.
The upturn was impacted by gains recorded in medium and large capitalised stocks, amongst which are: BUA Foods, WAPCO, FBN Holdings and Accesscorp.
The Financial Services Industry led the chart with 1.120 billion shares valued at N10.889 billion and traded in 13,514 deals.
The total volume of trades dipped 6.80 per cent to 293.43 million units valued at N4.29 billion exchanged in 4,239 deals.
