Mr Chiejina said that the Dangote group’s corporate strategy has evolved just as its businesses have grown.
Dangote Refinery believes the price reduction from N950 to N890 will result in a meaningful decrease in the cost of petrol nationwide.
Mr Chiejina said that the reduction was designed to reduce transport costs during the festive period.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced its petrol pump price to N899.50k per litre.
Dangote Refinery said the decrease was to show appreciation for Nigerians and the Bola Tinubu administration’s support.
“Conducting business through public speculation is counterproductive and unpatriotic,” the statement said.
“No party has been served with court processes and there is no intention of doing so,” the statement said.
“For September, our requirement is 15 cargoes, of which NNPC allocated six,” the statement said.
The management of Dangote Petroleum Refinery says it is not yet getting enough crude required for the effective optimisation of its refinery from the NNPC.
“To clarify, we have never accused NNPC of not supplying us with crude,” the statement said.
