The management of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi, announced new security measures across campus following an “unfortunate security breach” on Thursday.
He said the university’s internal security team arrested the suspects within two hours of the incident.
The lecturer died at a hotel in Anyigba while with a student and the incident was reported to the police by the hotel manager.
The federal government says the scheme will take off by January 2024.
It also appealed to the governor to support three of its members who are critically sick and currently taking treatment in various locations.
