Inaugurating the distribution in Argungu, agriculture minister Abubakar Kyari said the package was in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Governor Nasir Idris has approved the appointment of 21 new secretaries for local government councils in Kebbi.
He, therefore, called for urgent support to the affected farmers.
The exercise followed Governor Nasir Idris’ mandate to the ministry to cover all the local government areas to protect residents against malaria.
Among those who joined the chairman are all the LG ward chairpersons, youth leader, women leader, and ex-federal lawmaker Garba Musa-Gulma.
Shehu-Kafindangi said, “The gesture was also aimed at providing succour to communities affected by the disaster.’’
Governor Nasir Idris has raised the alarm that some disgruntled elements in Kebbi have plotted to unleash mayhem on residents.
This followed the adoption of the report of the Committee on Police Affairs at the Committee of the Whole on Thursday.
Mrs Idris pledged her support to improve menstrual hygiene and sexual reproductive health services in the state.
“It is important for us to come together to support vulnerable citizens with sympathy, benevolence and compassion.’’
