Mr Buba said the apprehended suspects comprised 92 terrorists, six gunrunners, three kidnappers, six collaborators and seven perpetrators of oil theft.
It said the call was wicked and aimed to distract the military men performing their constitutional responsibilities.
“At the moment,” the DHQ stated, “ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff is currently holding an extraordinary meeting in Abuja.”
“Until the issue of insecurity is surmounted, much more is still desired from the Armed Forces of Nigeria.”
“Consequently, I hereby reaffirm our loyalty to the president and the constitution of Nigeria as this administration rounds off.”
The military in a statement said report that military officers met with a presidential candidate with the aim of disrupting the general elections was false.
Mr Zulum reiterated his administration’s commitment to supporting persons displaced by the insurgency to ensure their safe and dignified resettlement.
“MUN will continue to pray for the safety of troops and their successes against the machinations of the enemies of the state.”
The Armed Forces of Nigeria are working with retired soldiers to fight killer herdsmen, bandits, unknown gunmen and Boko Haram terrorists.
