The police command in Anambra has said it is well-prepared and ready for the February 25 and March 11 elections.
The I-G said the Force had embedded intelligence officers during political rallies to identify with precision, persons encouraging and perpetrating violence.
The police chief further urged the personnel to remain non-political, diligent and firm and avoid being sentimental while discharging their duty.
The minister said “the government is taking the job of security very seriously.”
The commission also confirmed the appointment of John Amadi as a substantive Deputy Inspector General of Police ((DIG).
