The ex-Olympic medal winning sprinter urged Tobi Amusan to put behind her the suspension saga by the Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU).
The latest development will allow Amusan to defend her 100m hurdles world title she won at last year’s World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
“Now, should the federation be blamed? I don’t think so,” said Gora.
Amusan was notably not on the list, and her hope of defending her title is now in limbo.
“I am a CLEAN ATHLETE, and I am regularly; (maybe more than the usual) tested by the AIU,” stated Tobi Amusan.
England was awarded the women’s 4×100 metres relay gold from the 2022 Commonwealth Games after Nigeria had their result expunged.
Oduduru was identified as a client of Lira and a suspect by the FBI after evidence from Okagbare’s phone incriminated the Ughelli-born 200 metres specialist in a doping investigation.
The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has announced that banned Nigerian sprinter Blessing Okagbare has been found to have committed additional anti-doping rule violations.
Chioma Ajunwa-Opara said Okagbare’s residing in the United States means she had “a better knowledge than those (athletes) living in Nigeria.”
Okagbare was handed the ban for multiple breaches of anti-doping rules by the AIU on Friday.
