Mr Soludo said the facility would provide essential medical services to residents of Ayamelum, a community that previously lacked functional healthcare infrastructure.
Mr Uliagbafusi emphasised the importance of routine immunisation in reducing morbidity and mortality among children under five, helping to secure their long-term health.
She said that immunisation was important to protect children from life-long illness.
“The devastating floods hit seven of the 21 local government areas of the state,” said Deputy Governor Onyekachi Ibezim.
It said floods had ravaged more than five local governments, mainly in Anambra East, Anambra West, Ayamelum, Ogbaru and Awka South.
INEC said the additional centres became necessary due to an upsurge of registrants wishing to obtain their Permanent Voter Card (PVC).
