JSC approved the interim suspension of a principal registrar, Saifuddeen Mukhtar Abdullahi, over alleged criminal misappropriation of cooperative investment funds.
“The JPCC found Danmaraya guilty of forging an affidavit, affixing the high court stamp and seal, and inscribing a fake receipt number,” said the judicial commission.
“The commission adopted the recommendation of the JPCC, and Lawan was demoted by one grade level (from GL-13 down to GL-12),” said the statement.
Mr Jibo-Ibrahim maintained that the petition alleged intimidation and illegal monetary demands by the two court staff.
A judge illegally released a convict sentenced to prison by another judge, and a court registrar freed a suspect without the case being officially assigned to any court.
Kano’s Judicial Service Commission has taken disciplinary actions against three magistrates and a registrar of the Kano High Court over misconduct.
No date has been fixed for Justice Adamu-Aliyu.
The freed inmates include those who have been in custody between four and 15 years.
