Mr Tunji-Ojo acknowledged that Nigeria had an existing, commendable working relationship with the UK Home Office.
A social media post alleged that some personnel of the NSCDC extorted N5.2 million from a group of young men travelling from Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, to Akure.
The minister described the incident as unfortunate and vowed to ensure all fleeing inmates are captured.
The interior minister’s media aide, Babatunde Alao, said the devices were delivered and installed on February 18.
Mr tunji-Ojo said that the ministry would leave no stone unturned in stamping out corruption.
He said that the service must ensure that inmates were treated with the dignity and respect.
