Mr Ekpo alleged that the defendant belonged to an unlawful society known as ‘Aye Confraternity.’
The defendant is standing trial on a three-count charge of unlawful entry, malicious damage, and stealing, for which he pleaded not guilty.
Mr Uzodinma, of no fixed residential address, is facing a two-count charge of fraud and stealing.
Mr Okuoimose said the suspects jumped through the fence and broke into the house of a resident, Ubaka Agbasiefo, to commit the offences.
A police prosecutor alleged that the defendants caused nuisance by engaging themselves in public fighting.
The defendants were apprehended by some traders in the complex when they were about to escape with the tyres, police said.
The EKEDC official said the warning was necessitated by the assault on one of its field officers.
