The Nigerian Medical Association on Wednesday suspended its national president, Bala Audu, over alleged breaches of its constitution.
Mr Audu said the dental profession has made significant progress and plays a pivotal role within the NMA and the country’s healthcare delivery system.
Mr Olowolafe noted that although brain drain weakened local healthcare, it also validated the quality of Nigerian medical training.
The NMA noted that the longstanding concerns required urgent and comprehensive attention.
He made this statement on Tuesday in Abuja at the Nigerian Medical Association’s Third National Health Summit.
Mr Audu advised doctors to be cautious and ensure that they don’t get caught up in the protest while commuting to work.
