The police commissioner in Lagos, Olohundare Jimoh, has ordered a forensic investigation into the death of former Ondo governorship candidate, Bamidele Akingboye.
The statement stated, “Burial arrangements and further details will be communicated in due course.’’
The tribunal held that the PDP candidate “failed woefully” to provide sufficient evidence to support his claims of electoral irregularities
The Ondo State chairman of the SDP, Gbenga Akinbuli, spoke at a press briefing on Monday in Akure and called for immediate cancellation of the election.
Mr Akingboye said that if the process is credible, he would accept the outcome of the election even he did not emerge winner
Mr Agboola, a former deputy governor to late Governor Rotimi Akeredolu, was elected at the PDP’s primary election on Thursday.
He said that the committee would present its report to the party after the conclusion of the exercise.
“I fully support the zoning of the ticket to Ondo South senatorial district”
