The committee chairman, Bamidele Salam (PDP-Osun), said the money for the project was a loan by the federal government.
The resolution followed the adoption of a motion by Bassey Akiba (LP-Cross River) at a public hearing on COVID-19 funds on Thursday in Abuja.
The petitioner, Samuel Oyeterun, alleged that the NURTW chairman collected N5 million to facilitate MoU for the union members’ health scheme.
Mr Gbajabiamila said that the committee was constituted to probe the level of service delivery in the telecommunication sector.
The bill proposed every November as the appreciation month of all security agents, especially those serving in the Nigerian armed forces, police, Civil Defence, among others.
