Ms Ali said the revocation was approved by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso.
“This unlawful action amounts not only to breach of contract but to an attempted economic murder and financial strangulation of a loyal customer,” Mr Ume stated.
The microfinance licenses of Eyowo, one of Nigeria’s digital banks, have been revoked by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
CBN has announced the revocation of the licences of 132 microfinance banks, three finance companies and four primary mortgage banks across the country.
