He used his well-known rhetorical powers to deliver a thundering endorsement of the Democratic presidential nominee, Ms Harris.
Mr Obama said he and his wife, Michelle, would “do everything we can to elect Kamala Harris the next president of the United States.”
Mr Biden suggested that Ms Harris could be the U.S. first multiracial female president, but the president did not state if he planned to step down for her in the forthcoming election.
