Mr Bulkachuwa’s comment strengthens longstanding suspicion of connivance between Nigerian judges and politicians.
“Tinubu is a large-hearted philanthropist, a reputable humanist who will drive productivity and growth, he has the capacity to drive the nation in the direction that we want it.”
Bashir Sheriff Machina’s name was published on Friday.
Bashir Machina’s mandate was threatened by Senate President Ahmad Lawan, who tried to exploit his relationship with the party leaders to overturn an already certified primary election.
Last week, the party sent Mr Lawan’s name to INEC as the candidate for Yobe North, even though he was widely known not to have taken part in the primary.
Mr Lawan did not participate in the primary. Bashir Machina, who contested the primary and won, has been challenging the party’s determination to misappropriate his mandate.
Mr Machina said he scored 289 out of 300 votes cast by delegates at primaries and vowed not to cede his mandate to Mr Lawan or anyone else.
