Hezbollah said late Wednesday that its new campaign, named ‘Eaten Straw’, was launched in response to Israeli attacks.
The ministry condemned the strikes as a violation of international law.
Firass Abiad, the health minister, said thousands of families had also been displaced in Lebanon following the attack.
The U.S., which denied any involvement in the blasts, said it was pursuing intensive diplomacy to avert an escalation of the conflict.
Lebanese caretaker Health Minister Firass Abiad warned that cholera could become “endemic” in Lebanon if the country fails to curb the spread of its infection, local media reported.
