Mr Umoru stated, “We have soldiers in a community not far from where this attack happened on Sunday and they were not there.’’
The registrar stated that the government and the security agencies had been duly informed of the incident.
“The man would have been lynched if not for the intervention of soldiers who were passing by.’’
Rescued unharmed, the victim has since reunited with his family.
“There is always police presence in the area but once in a while, we experience those attacks as the one that happened on Saturday which is under control already.”
