He noted that the project would improve the lives of an estimated 506,000 residents by providing access to potable water.
The governor appealed to those protesting over security challenges to remain calm.
The police spokesman said that the students were currently receiving medical attention at the Benue State University Teaching Hospital, Makurdi.
The governor noted that anyone found violating the directive would face legal consequences.
The residents called on Gov. Hyacinth Alia to provide the whole of Makurdi with clean, pipe-borne water.
The minister urged Nigerians to join her in prayers for the quick and safe return of the students.
Mr Gemade commended the assembly for sanctioning erring members who attempted to ridicule what they did collectively during the preliminary.
Mr Moro said, “There is a looming constitutional crisis currently in Benue State.’’
“This government only attempts to conceal the truth about the killings and mass burials,” he said.
The Benue command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says the agency arrested 251 suspects for various drug-related crimes in 2024.
