The police command in Niger says it has arrested a suspected cultist, Agada Isaac, with a pistol and military items in the Bida LGA.
The police command says it overran the IPOB/ESN terrorists’ camp, known as ‘Mother Valley’, killing two and recovering over 300 improvised explosive devices.
“On July 22, policemen attached to Ketu Division arrested the suspects, aged 21 and 35, during patrol along Ikorodu Road, Mile 12,” he said.
The command spokesperson stated that following his confession, Mr Nwokoma led police operatives to his gang’s hideout in Ogwu Waterside in Diobu.
“The gang members boarded a commercial bus from Nnewi.’’
“We have also received a total of 662 repentant thugs.’’
The police command in Jigawa says it arrested 298 suspects for various crimes in the third quarter of 2023.
Two Nigerians and one irregular Cameroonian migrant, who confessed to be a member of the Ambazonia separatist group, were arrested.
