At least 3,648 people have been killed in 7,5467 road crashes nationwide between January and July, the FRSC has said.
FRSC said the use of AirPods, EarPods, or any other hands-free while driving was illegal.
The FRSC urged members of the public to note that only the JTB had the statutory powers to review the prices of vehicle number plates and driver’s licence.
Mr Oyeyemi directed commanding officers to intensify the special operation targeted at offenders.
The FRSC spokesperson said mobile courts would be in session across the country for prompt dispensation of justice to traffic violators.
“The officials who were students of the Distance Learning Programme of the university, could not graduate due largely to poor performance.”
Few minutes into their journey, the passengers noticed that the driver was driving under the influence of alcohol.
“We are here to replicate this success story in Namibia.”
The clampdown, according to Mr. Oyeyemi, is an integral part of the Corps effort to reduce road traffic crashes across the country.
The corps said it conducted 323 mobile court sessions in 2020 against 494 in 2019.
