Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti has sacked his political aides with effect from July 31.
“There were reports of physical violence in Ado-Ekiti LGA Ward 9, Unit 13 in Ifelodun LGA, Ward 9, Unit 6 and in Moba LGA Unit -9, Ward 1.”
A spokesperson to Mr Oni told Peoples Gazette that the SDP candidate would consult leaders of the party for a review of the exercise before commenting on the process.
In a congratulatory letter, Mr Kolawole said that he believed power belongs to God, and “he bestows upon whoever he chooses.”
APC’s candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, won Saturday’s election with 187,057 votes. Segun Oni of the SDP got 82,211 votes, and Mr Kolawole 67,457 votes.
Mr Oyebanji, a former Secretary to the State Government, polled 187,057 votes to defeat his challengers.
Abiodun Oyebanji of the APC polled 296 votes, SDP’s Segun Oni polled zero votes, and PDP’s Bisi Kolawole got one vote.
The APC candidate, Biodun Oyebanji, got 15 votes, while the candidate of the PDP, Bisi Kolawole, got just three votes.
Mr Kolawole scored 98 votes to beat the candidate of the APC, Biodun Oyebanji, who garnered 13 votes.
Mr Kolawole spoke after casting his vote at Unit 01, Ward 8, Efon, in Efon Local Government Area of the state.
