Blessing Onuh, the chairwoman of the committee, issued the ultimatum on Tuesday during an investigative hearing in Abuja.
The lawmakers said the officials should appear in person before the committee on May 21 to account for assets under their stewardship.
“I will engage with political stakeholders and security heads to ensure these atrocities come to an end. Our people deserve to live in peace,” the lawmaker said.
“A lack of regulation or ineffective regulation, impunity, and lack of accountability by real estate developers, have resulted in financial losses.”
The defection comes at the time politicians across the country are moving into the ruling party to reestablish themselves politically.
