The forum expressed condolences to the people and government of Niger and commended the rescue operations.

Mr Esoev described it as “one of the deadliest” boat mishaps.
The boat was ferrying 27 private school students, none of whom were reportedly wearing life jackets.
Mr Baba-Arah noted that the boat was carrying passengers estimated to be around 100, including goods, grains, and other valuables.
He condoled with victims and their families while also praying for the repose of the dead.
Mr Garba disclosed that the passengers were on their way back from Katcha market when the incident occurred.
