Adebowale Adedokun, BPP’s director-general, said the government was also introducing sustainable procurement as a specialised area for recruitment into the procurement cadre.
Mr Nagga said that Mr Adedokun conveyed approval for the deployment of the 97 procurement officers.
He said the commission had the mandate to ensure that insurance service providers lived up to their obligations.
BPP and FRC have signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen collaboration and promote good governance in Nigeria.
Mr Nagga said that the BPP-NIALS partnership was expected to yield significant benefits.
“We are not fighting corruption in procurement. We are preventing corruption,” BPP stated.
The Bureau of Public Procurement has reaffirmed its dedication to improving Nigeria’s public procurement system by emphasising professionalism and capacity-building for procurement officers.
