Mr Babafemi said the drugs were intercepted along the Zaki-Biam/ Wukari road on Monday, November 3, while the driver was arrested.
Mr Babafemi said the suspect had been arrested and charged for drug offences in the United Kingdom, but jumped bail and escaped to Nigeria.
Mr Tsakuwa said the NDLEA carried out raids and dislodgement of black spots and synergised with other security agencies.
According to him, the auction is a milestone in the fight against drug trafficking and organised crime.
NDLEA intercepted over two tonnes of illicit substances in Lagos, Ogun, Edo, Ekiti, Anambra, Ondo, and Kogi.Â
According to him, the NDLEA has been in touch with the family of the deceased.
