The protests were destabilised as state sponsored thugs unleashed mayhem on protesters under supervision of the Nigerian police.
The policy was, according to CBN, targeted at recovering over 80 per cent of the country’s currency hoarded outside the banking system.
“It is the same APC template that both leaders (Buhari and Tinubu) that they will use,” Mr Keyamo said.
“You don’t understand the power of the dollar and our single export. Ask someone in Nigeria how the dollar affects them.”
As part of the programme, former Boko Haram commanders are provided with rent-free accommodation and given a monthly stipend by the SSS.
