Mr Tinubu has directed security agencies to investigate the fatal arson.
The prominent Nigerian banker was appointed on Friday.
The appointment is pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
The chairmanship of the FGN Power Company Board has been assigned to the office of the minister of power.
Mr Adesina joins the pantheon of previous winners of the award which includes Wole Soyinka, ex-President Thabo Mbeki, and Afe Babalola.
“We anticipate the employment of more qualified Nigerians by foreign companies operating in this country,” said Mr Tinubu.
“The president anticipates that Ms Bakari will bring her wealth of experience and expertise to full discharge in this critical role.”
President Bola Tinubu has approved the reconstitution of the executive management teams of parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.
President Tinubu will be accompanied on the trip by some ministers and other top government officials.
Mr Tinubu also commended the governor for his discipline, and candour.
