The event marked the first state-backed Christian pilgrimage in over a decade, following its discontinuation by previous administrations.
He said that this would aid agriculture development and improve food security in Nigeria.
Mr Yusuf expressed faith in God’s guidance to prevail over the circumstance.
He said experiences garnered in surmounting challenges in the past three years would be used to entrench a system that would ensure the smooth running of the commission.
“Prayers for our president, our governors, the future of the country. That is the purpose for pilgrimage at this hour,” the official said.
