Governor Ahmed Ododo’s government says it has distributed 100 truckloads of rice to Kogi residents to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
The house of representatives held a similar summit under Femi Gbajabiamila.
The free services were for specific routes to reduce the burden of the high cost of public transportation during the Christmas and New Year holidays.
FRSC corps marshal Dauda Ali-Biu has felicitated the Christian faithful and assured them of safety on the road.
The police command in Adamawa has assured residents of adequate measures for free crime before, during and after Christmas and New Year.
The policy takes effect from 21 December 21 and will end January 4, 2024.
Mr Eshiet said the objectives of the operation were to check road crashes.
“Residents of Lagos should go about their normal business. They should enjoy their Christmas and New Year,” said the police commissioner.
The lawmakers said tackling the multiple criminal activities bedevilling the state requires the joint efforts of security agencies.
