Environmentalists, civil society groups, and public health experts have called on the federal government to take a firmer and more transparent position on plastic pollution.
This comes hours after Governor Siminalayi Fubara swore in new caretaker chairmen for the 23 LGAs to replace the outgone chairmen.
The police boss said that few instances that turned out to be real calls were largely attempts by misguided local urchins to threaten citizens at specific locations.
“I have no idea when I will give up my life,” he said. “It is up to God’s will. I am already committed to sacrificing anything for my country.”
