In a statement on Wednesday, COEASU president Ahmed Lawan said the move would ensure continuity and stability in ongoing reforms in teacher education.
COEASU begged Governor Uba Sani to “consider and approve” the implementation of the current salary structure of CONPCASS/CONTEDISS in Kaduna.
“NEC resolved that the nationwide strike that started on June 10, be suspended for a cool-off-period of 60 days,” COEASU stated.
The national headquarters directed all state-owned Colleges of Education to join the strike and press home their local demands.
