The closure will affect the stretch between Apongbon and Ijora Olopa.
The ministry assured the public that enforcement measures would be implemented to ensure unrestricted access in and out of all gated streets.
According to Mr Osiyemi, any vehicle found unsuitable will not be allowed to operate on Lagos roads.

Mr Osiyemi assured that the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority officers would be on ground to minimise inconvenience and manage traffic flow.
He said this was in preparation for the integration of the rail mass transit system.
Mr Osiyemi explained that the areas visited included Alakija, Iyana-Iba, Festac, and Mile 2, as well as Berger Suya inward Mile 2 Oke.
He said that for this period, motorists on the other side from the Costain roundabout would have through traffic inbound Apapa.
He implored motorists to be patient as the partial road closure was part of the traffic management plans for the race event.
