The Federal Fire Service has advised Abuja residents to strictly adhere to all fire safety rules as Muslims commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Mr Abdullahi said officers found culpable of violating the ethical standard would be subjected to appropriate sanctions without compromise.
According to him, some people die on the way before reaching their targeted destination.
Onne Area 11 command of the Nigeria Customs Service has decorated 104 newly promoted officers.
“Many do not understand how the rules of the customs are.’’
The comptroller said the command had introduced more sensitive security measures to prevent smuggling in the area.
She said that since the federal government had tightened air and land borders across the country, marine borders would not be left porous.
Also on the list of seizures were 700 packages of machetes and 107 packages of shovels.
From January to date, the command in Lagos has seized 930,140 litres of petrol, about 28 tanker loads of 33,000 litres each.
The service elevated no fewer than 4,526 personnel nationwide after their promotion examination.
