FRSC has announced a fresh traffic diversion on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway due to the ongoing construction on the highway.
The corps spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, stated in Abuja on Saturday that the opinion was baseless, unfounded and did not reflect the position of the FRSC.
Mr Biu also warned drivers against excessive speed to avoid crashes while on the road.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) recovered N5,020,660 and 10 phones from road crash victims on the Kaduna-Zaria road.
The promotion approval came at the end of the meeting of the FRSC Board, which ratified the resolution of the FRSC Establishment Committee on the promotion.
Mr Oyeyemi directed commanding officers to intensify the special operation targeted at offenders.
“The officials who were students of the Distance Learning Programme of the university, could not graduate due largely to poor performance.”
The clampdown, according to Mr. Oyeyemi, is an integral part of the Corps effort to reduce road traffic crashes across the country.
The New Vehicle Identification System (NVIS) could be deployed to make home arrest where necessary, the Corps said.
