Dangote Refinery has announced its 2026 graduate trainee programme. In a statement, the refinery said it would be an 18-month programme.
The management revealed that more than 3,000 Nigerians have continued to work actively at the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
PENGASSAN also described the action as a violation of Section 40 of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which guarantees workers the right to freedom of association.
The union further warned that if the standoff continued, it would have no option but to “join NUPENG in shutting down refinery operations to protect workers’ rights and interests”.
The decision, Dangote said, underscores its dedication to providing affordable, reliable, and high-quality petroleum products.
LAMATA hinged the increase on the rising cost of operations and the need to ensure that buses keep running and to guarantee passengers’ movement around Lagos.
Mr Oku said, “We had heard about the excellence of the Dangote Refinery through the media but seeing it in person has left us truly amazed…’’
The refinery made this statement in response to remarks by Robert Dickerman, CEO of Pinnacle Oil and Gas Limited.
Grenada PM disclosed this on Thursday during his tour of the Dangote Petroleum refinery and Petrochemicals complex in Ibeju Lekki, Lagos.
