Anwar Gargash, the diplomatic adviser to the UAE president, called on Wednesday for an immediate ceasefire in Sudan.
The conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces and the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces erupted in April in 2023.
About 14,600 people have been killed so far, with both sides accused of serious violations of human rights.
Mr Rowe described the situation in West and Central Darfur as “catastrophic.”
“After sixteen weeks of conflict in Sudan, more than four million people have been displaced within the country and across borders into neighbouring countries.”
The ambassador said the terrorist act was an attempt to obstruct the evacuation efforts of the diplomats and foreign nationals.
Sudan has appealed to the international community to condemn the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) insurgency against the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF).
