He attributed the feat to the strategic revenue collection approach adopted by the command.
Mr Chana said that the command’s area of coverage was a no-go area for smugglers.
The Kano area command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) said it generated revenue of N50.7 billion from January to May.
Mr Chana appealed to traditional rulers and stakeholders, especially those around the border areas, for support.
The seizure underscores the effort of the service.

The comptroller said the command had introduced more sensitive security measures to prevent smuggling in the area.
