Mr Fintiri said the initiative was part of efforts to strengthen the agricultural value chain, ensure food security, promote industrialisation, and boost export potential in the state.
Some farmers in Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe have urged their governments to adopt new strategies to tackle crop theft and insurgents’ attacks ahead of the farming season.
Mr Jatau said the initiative would boost the agriculture sector by providing farmers and youths with essential farm inputs as they prepared for the season.
The commissioner said Mr Tinubu’s initiative was in line with Governor Umar Fintiri’s determination to invest in agriculture to improve food security.
