The minister said states in the South-East were not fairly treated on the MTN Nigeria Tax Credit decision, adding that he was confident President Bola Tinubu would address the injustice.
Mr Nwifuru also urged the federal government to address the issue of road construction by ministries and other entities not connected with construction.

The minister said he would meet with regional directors to ascertain the need for such augmentations to establish whether they were merited.
Mr David Umahi said that the use of concrete pavement technology in road construction projects was cost effective and durable.
“We are satisfied with the quality of work, but we are not satisfied with the pace of work.”

It asked Mr Tinubu to instruct the ex-governors to immediately return any pension and allowances received since leaving office to the public treasury.
