The minister expressed President Bola Tinubu’s concern about escalating commodity prices, including cement.
Cement Manufacturers came to an agreement to sell a 50kg bag of cement at a retail price of between N7,000 and N8,000, depending on the location.
“I am going to appeal the judgment disqualifying me…While we acknowledge that the judgment is contrived and deliberately done for political reasons,” said Mr Onu.
Mr Umahi urged citizens to support Mr Tinubu’s government.
The minister, who had earlier inspected the Mararaba-Keffi road, expressed joy that Mr Tinubu had released funds for the completion of the projects.
The minister had earlier made a commitment to the road being completed in 2024.
Mr Umahi frowned at contractors closing up sites during the festive season when the traffic on the roads was high.
The project was awarded in December 2018.
“He is our father and we always cherish the way he brings us together whenever he is around.’’
He said that the roads all over the country are in a critical state, declaring that the primary need of Nigerians is good roads.
