He stressed that the primary responsibility of the board was to provide oversight and strategic direction.
Mr Mobereola reaffirmed NIMASA’s dedication to implementing the federal government’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.
The minister also highlighted that Nigeria’s efforts in maritime security had received global recognition.
Mr Mobereola commended all organs of government for the partnership during the search and recovery operations.

Piracy in the Gulf of Guinea remains of great concern to countries in West and Central Africa, with the worst affected countries being Nigeria, Togo, and Cote d’Ivoire.
