The suspects were apprehended on Wednesday following credible intelligence and surveillance.
Mr Oyewale said the suspect usually leaves his unsuspecting victims in tears and regret in their dealings with him.
The operatives of the commission also recovered a pump-action rifle and live cartridges from one of the suspects.
The commission named the suspects as Samuel Akwa, Willie Uboko, Muhammed Tukur, Salmannu Ibrahim and Jaafar Adam.
Mr Ghali stated that the commission would continue to enforce the law.
Mr Oyewale dismissed the ADC’s claims as an attempt to distract from the substance of the investigations.
Investigators believe the withdrawals were structured to evade scrutiny and may have been part of a broader laundering scheme.
The spokesperson ssid the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
The commission stated that items recovered from the suspects included 15 iPhones, two Android phones, one Nokia torch phone, one Macbook.
